![]() I also have been using SanDisk (Ultra II) and I havenメt had a problem not formatting my cards after every transfer. I don't know of any reason why reformatting your memory cards would eventually create a problem however, it is really unnecessary to reformat every time you transfer because when formatting the memory cards, you're rewriting the file system on to the cards when you're only concerned about clearing the card's memory. This assumption holds true if you were still able to review pictures on the camera after the fact. ![]() ![]() When you tried reviewing your pictures afterwards, the computer reported that the disk was corrupt. However, the cameras read the disks differently than a computer does, so maybe the camera had no problem writing to the CF. My assumption is that when you reformatted your cards, a problem occurred after formatting the cards where there would be a problem for the computer to read the cards. It is interesting that both disks were corrupt because if only one was corrupt, it is possible that the problem was caused by a hardware error.
